Citizens arrest
Some guy shoplifted at the store I work at. Jeff ran out the front to catch him and I ran out the back. The guy vanished! He was nowhere to be seen. We headed back to work empty handed.
10 minutes later the phone rings. It’s a guy who says he was just driving by our store and saw what looked like somebody running out of our store with a bunch of stuff. He saw the shoplifter jump into a getaway car and hop on the I-405. He told me he was working so he couldn’t chase them for very long but he was able to describe the car and give me the license plate number. I hung up and told my coworkers. Awesome! There’s still hope of getting the guy.
2 minutes later a girl called and said the SAME THING! She was driving by and saw the shoplifter run out. She described the car and had the license plate number.
Is it me or do people here have too much time on their hands?
