A little dumb and too sensitive
I was spending some quality time with my lady the other night watching some Project Runway on Hulu or TV Shack or whatever. It was the first episode of the new season where all the new contestants are introduced. There was a girl from Portland on the show again. Her actions on the show within a 5 minute period perfectly describe the majority of people in this town.
First thing…while entering her new apartment building in NYC she attempted to go through the revolving door…the WRONG way. Who doesn’t know to go to the right? I love that they showed that (they didn’t make mention of it or anything).
Second…the “Hello Designers” dude was walking around checking out everybody’s first project and giving them constructive criticism. While he was talking to the Portland girl she started in with the, “yeah, uh-huh, yeah, OK, oh, sure” bit. Then she started CRYING. He didn’t even say anything mean! She’s just lived such a fucking sheltered life with nobody calling her out or criticizing her or challenging her that she couldn’t even deal.
The next guy “Hello Designers” dude criticized wasn’t even phased. He disagreed with the co-host and said something to the effect of, “I like it so that’s what I’m doing” and the co-host responded with, “then go with it”. Viola! Amazing how that worked.
Only in Portland.
